Below is a table with some of the main technological resources I use:

Priority
  • Record Keeping
  • Balancing of HITT & Steady State Cardio
  • Optimization of workouts
After a lot of research, I found that this Sunnto watch is the best to optimize the time spent in the gym. An important measure of how effective your workout is is the EPOC concept, and this watch keeps track of it plus several other variables in real-time. It has a built-in training coach that adapts your workout to your level of fitness, age, etc. There are several Suunto models out there, but this is the only one with the training coach. If you are going to invest in only one technological resource, this should be it. Click on image for more info.

  • Record keeping
  • Monitoring
It is hard to work out and keep a routine when you travel. I use this pedometer to help me keep track of calories burned when I am on vacation, and always try to reach a daily goal, let’s say, 8000 steps. Click on image for more info.

  • Record keeping
  • Monitoring
When you first start working out, it is important to know if you are moving in the right direction. Aside from your weight, this full body sensor and body composition monitor measures your body fat, visceral fat, muscle mass, body age, and other variables. Click on image for more info.

  • Record keeping
  • Monitoring
Same as above, but keeps track of less variables. In my experience, this one is a little skewed to upper body bodyfat measurements; therefore, the one above gives a better overall picture. Click on image for more info.
